Delhi Food Tour

Roopak and his wife were such wonderful hosts they made with us a gorgeous meal. They were really informative about places to go in Delhi and about wider the India which they have extensively travelled the house was beautiful, very clean and I would utterly recommend this to anybody visiting Delhi.

I recently took a walking tour of Delhi with Raj, and it turned out to be so much more than just a tour. Raj is not just a guide—he’s a friend now. With his joyful spirit and deep local knowledge, he showed me the real Delhi—full of culture, colour, and hidden gems far from the usual tourist spots. If you want to experience the authentic soul of the city, Raj is the one to go with!

Wow!!! fantastic experience with Roopak and Nidhi. we spent 4 hours cooking, eating and learning about india. the food was delicious and Roopak and Nidhi were welcoming, friendly and very knowledgable. they provided lots of information prior to arrival about the experience including what to expect and how to get there which was very helpful. highly recommend to anyone visiting Delhi.

Roopak and his wife are friendly and well coordinated. They delivered and exceeded all that was promised on the event page. The pre event communication was excellent. They gave great directions. Just note that they are closer to the airport than central New Delhi, so make sure you leave enough time to travel there. The hosts were generous with their time, and explained Indian culture and cooking. It was lovely that they invited us to their home. I’d definitely recommend it, if you have time and would like to try some home Indian cooking.

I really recommend to do this tour! I had a truly unique and nice experience with Roopak's family. They talk me everything there is to know about Delhi and answerred all my questions about India. We cooked and ate together and make chai which was fun! Overall a great experience.

Just got back from a free walking tour in Delhi and honestly—highly recommend. Our guide, Raj, was an absolute gem. Super chill, super knowledgeable, and just had that local vibe that made the whole thing feel less like a tour and more like hanging out with a friend who knows all the secret spots. What I loved most was that it wasn’t rushed. Raj let us kind of set the pace, and he was always down to stop, answer questions, or take a detour if something caught someone’s eye. No pushy sales pitch at the end, no “now go to my cousin’s shop” vibe. Just good energy and genuine love for the city. Amazing! If you’re in Delhi and wanna experience it beyond the tourist checklist, hit up Raj. Wear comfy shoes, bring an open mind, and enjoy. 10/10 would do again.

Raj‘s tour was a private tour for me as no one else signed up, but that seems to be quite common. I had a fantastic tour through old and New Delhi, skipping the monuments but instead visiting places where real locals life. The visit of the Sikh temple was incredibly inspiring and I also loved seeing the different markets. We had great food in a side street restaurant as well as a morning tea. He shared both the stories of Delhi as well as his private journey through life. Thank you Raj for this exceptional tour. This is the true spirit of such a walking tour and I am glad they continue to exist with you. PS: take some small amounts of Rupees with you for tuk tuk rides.

Roopak and Nidhi have thought of everything for an authentic experience; a traditional welcome, delicious Indian food, answers to all questions matched with images and even an a quiz to test your knowledge of India. Raj was a very patient and informative guide. He had a good sense of humour and knew the city and locals well. He also showed me around some hidden gems in the city . Would highly recommend him.

If you visit Delhi you can’t miss the oppurtunity to join Roopak and Nidhi for a real indian meal. They are warm and kind, they’ll make sure you’ll have a great experience! We had a fantastic tour led by Jatin. It was a nice and easy route, which took us down smaller quieter streets that we wouldn’t have been able to reach by ourselves. Jatin was very informative and answered all of our questions. Would recommend to anyone who wants a proper introduction to Delhi, thank you Jatin!

Jatin was in all ways the perfect guide as a first time visitor to his Delhi. He was knowledgeable, very kind, patient, thoughtful and so very helpful. His passion for his county’s history and culture was extremely appealing and charming. We felt safe, cared for, attended to, and honestly treated like royalty. He paid for our subway ride, bought us delicious masala chai to try, helped us arrange an uber ride back to our hotel, and even gave us a little gift for coming on the tour. He was so generous with his time and was the perfect ambassador for a first time visitor to the wonders and magic of Oíd Delhi! We loved him!

We really loved this experience at the beautiful home of Nidhi and Roopak. It was special to have a look inside the home of an Indian familie and to have an authentic experience of their culture and cuisine.

I booked very last minute and was not sure what to expect but had a fabulous day. Raj made contact to ensure I was happy with meeting arrangements which was reassuring. There was one other solo traveller and soon after meeting we went for chai and a very informative overview of India's history. Raj was very easy to engage with and very interesting to listen to. We visited some wonderful sights, had a delicious lunch and was totally taken care of by Raj. I would definitely recommend taking this tour. We did visit his cousins tour centre who offered help with any onward trips or journeys but I didn't purchase any. You will not be disappointed if you book this experience *****

Thi was heart leftover experience Roopak is super friendly, caring and knowledgeable We made local breakfast for international tourist. We learn Hindu mysteries by practicing praying as local people with the family temple. Roopak also wrote our name in Hindi and explain every single question we had He took care of us until we got in the car to the airport. This was beyond my expectations and gave me very good impression on Indian Thanks again and look forward to seeing again someday, Roopak

Although I arrived late, Roopak was incredibly helpful, guiding me to their place with patience and kindness. The class itself was wonderful—both Roopak and Nidhi not only shared their culinary expertise but also gave me fascinating insights into Indian culture and life in Delhi. The conversations were as enriching as the cooking, making the experience even more special. At the end of the class, Roopak went above and beyond by accompanying me to the metro station, which was a kind gesture I truly appreciated.
