we enjoyed this tour very much. Fayozzidin did a great job weaving the info he gave us into an easy to follow storyline. His enthusiasm was contagious and he was a good source of info for all sorts of other questions we had about recent history and daily life. The tour is great for people who like history and enjoy connecting the dots and revisiting concepts and infos they have come across previously. if you‘re looking for something not quite as obvious as the Registan & main sights tour, this is definitively worth your while

Fayoziddin was really fun and knowledgeable. He is exceptionally knowledgeable guide who held our attention throughout the entire almost 4-hour tour. His commentary was very well structured, covering history and local culture. Highly recommended!
Those who arent keen to listen to history might find it better to visit the few sights of this tour on their own;especially if have just a day in Samarkand; rather than go walking for 3-4 hours. Amir Taimur tomb was a bit underwhelming for the 750k entry fee. Registon looks impressive but this tour gives only an exterior view. The guide’s English is accented but understandable enough.
Our guide was really professional, for almost 4 hrs he entertained us with the fashinating history of Samarkand. Very good English and friendly atmosphere.
