¡Konnichiwa! Soy Ryo, tu guía local. Nací y crecí en Tokio. Me gradué del Instituto Público de Shinjuku, a 5 minutos a pie de la estación de Shinjuku, y luego fui a la Universidad de Waseda, que está a unos 30 minutos a pie de la misma estación. Viví en Kabukicho y trabajé para una productora cinematográfica en el barrio gay de Shinjuku Nichome. Tengo experiencia de primera mano visitando muchos de los establecimientos que comentaremos durante el tour. We had a great time exploring the red light district of Shinjuku with Ryo. He was a very professional, informative and friendly guide who showed us lots of hidden spots that we wouldn't have otherwise known about. As a native who is deeply familiar with the area, Ryo brought the hidden underworld of Shinjuku to life with his vivid storytelling filled with personal anecdotes and quirky humour. He took us a journey through the history of Shinjuku as we traversed the various districts, where we learnt not just about its famous nightlife but also took away fascinating insights about Japanese society and culture. This was probably the most memorable guided tour I’ve ever been on, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to learn about a lesser-known aspect of Japan.
