¡Hola! Me llamo Mahmoud y soy guía turístico oficial en Fez. Me apasionan la historia, la cultura y la arquitectura. Soy licenciado en Historia y Civilizaciones y he dedicado años a investigar el rico patrimonio de Marruecos, en especial las fascinantes historias que se esconden tras la antigua medina de Fez. He publicado varios artículos sobre temas como teorías económicas, el Ishin Meiji y la transición de los zaibatsu a los keiretsu. También he disfrutado explorando otras ciudades históricas como Marrakech, Chefchaouen y Granada. En mi tiempo libre, me gusta leer libros que conectan la historia de Marruecos con otras civilizaciones, especialmente «El ornamento del mundo: cómo musulmanes, judíos y cristianos crearon una cultura de tolerancia en la España medieval» de María Rosa Menocal, una obra que inspira mis relatos y profundiza mi aprecio por el legado cultural y espiritual de Marruecos.
Perfect Fes Tour
We attended a 3 hour tour in Fes with our guide, Mahmoud, and it was an outstanding experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very kind from the beginning. He met us at Cinema cafe, where he clearly presented the tour program and what to expect. Throughout the tour, we explored many hidden gems and wandered through the narrow streets of the medina. We visited the beautiful Attarin Medersa and the historic University of Al Quaraouiyine. The tour also included two well organized stops at a traditional weaving workshop and the tannery. Importantly, there was no pressure to buy anything, which made the experience feel relaxed and authentic. Mahmoud's explanations were clear, engaging, and highly informative, giving us a deeper understanding of the history, culture, and daily life in Fes. The tour was excellent, we felt comfortable and had a lot of fun. The route was great, and Mahmoud shared a lot of information about the history of Fes and Morocco. He helped us get closer to the daily life and local people. His English is excellent. If it's your first day in Fes, I highly recommend choosing this experience it's definitely worth it.
Mahmoud was very knowledgeable and took us to some very interesting places. We enjoyed our time with him and he was very patient and helpful in the souks. Mahmoud made our experience in Fes truly exceptional. He was exceptionally friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable throughout the tour.
