Hallo!
A good walking tour through the old Medina. Perfect way to get orientated and catch the main sights. Zak seems to share work with Mahmoud. Enjoyed the walk which ended up being 4 hours. There are a couple of stops which have retail like the tannery entry is via one, a silk weavers and the herbalist but absolutely no pressure to buy and they all have interesting demonstrations. We would recommend these guys.
Tour was more than perfect! We went to hidden gems, the information and quality was excellent with good humor. Also everyone was made very comfortable and welcome. Nothing like the ‘average’ tour.
It was an amazing and very complete tour in the city of Fes. We really enjoyed it with Mahmoud, who was a professional, friendly, and patient guide. He explained the history of the city in a very engaging and entertaining way, full of interesting information. We visited many iconic historical sites such as the oldest water clock, the Mausoleum of Idris II, Al-Attarine Madrasa, the University of Al Quaraouiyine, considered the oldest university in the world, as well as the oldest leather tannery in Fes. Mahmoud did not hold back any information and answered all our questions with great enthusiasm and care. He made sure we felt comfortable and safe throughout the tour, with absolutely no pressure to buy anything. At the end of the tour, Mahmoud also treated us to a tasting of some famous traditional sweets from Fes, which was a beautiful gesture and left us with a wonderful final impression of the experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fes for the first time. Grazie di cuore!
Mahmoud was excellent! We enjoyed the information he so clearly and eloquently shared. He is easy to understand. He introduced us to the Fes Medina and all of the crafts and trades that are unique to Fes. You did not feel forced to buy anything. We highly recommend him!
