Ciao! Mi chiamo Mahmoud e sono una guida turistica ufficiale di Fes con una profonda passione per la storia, la cultura e l'architettura. Ho una laurea triennale in Storia e Civiltà e ho trascorso anni a studiare il ricco patrimonio del Marocco, in particolare le affascinanti storie che si celano dietro l'antica medina di Fes. Ho anche pubblicato diversi articoli su argomenti come le teorie economiche, il Meiji Ishin e dallo Zaibatsu al Keiretsu. Amo condividere esperienze locali autentiche e aiutare i visitatori a scoprire tesori nascosti che molti viaggiatori sfuggono. Mi è anche piaciuto esplorare altre città storiche come Marrakech, Chefchaouen e Granada. Nel tempo libero, mi piace leggere libri che collegano la storia del Marocco a civiltà più ampie, in particolare "L'ornamento del mondo: come musulmani, ebrei e cristiani hanno creato una cultura di tolleranza nella Spagna medievale" di María Rosa Menocal, un'opera che ispira la mia narrazione e approfondisce il mio apprezzamento per l'eredità culturale e spirituale del Marocco.
Perfect Fes Tour
We attended a 3 hour tour in Fes with our guide, Mahmoud, and it was an outstanding experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very kind from the beginning. He met us at Cinema cafe, where he clearly presented the tour program and what to expect. Throughout the tour, we explored many hidden gems and wandered through the narrow streets of the medina. We visited the beautiful Attarin Medersa and the historic University of Al Quaraouiyine. The tour also included two well organized stops at a traditional weaving workshop and the tannery. Importantly, there was no pressure to buy anything, which made the experience feel relaxed and authentic. Mahmoud's explanations were clear, engaging, and highly informative, giving us a deeper understanding of the history, culture, and daily life in Fes. The tour was excellent, we felt comfortable and had a lot of fun. The route was great, and Mahmoud shared a lot of information about the history of Fes and Morocco. He helped us get closer to the daily life and local people. His English is excellent. If it's your first day in Fes, I highly recommend choosing this experience it's definitely worth it.
Mahmoud was very knowledgeable and took us to some very interesting places. We enjoyed our time with him and he was very patient and helpful in the souks. His recommendations were very valuable and I would advise anyone looking for an excellent guide to choose Mahmoud. He speaks many languages. His English was also excellent.
Mahmoud made our experience in Fes truly exceptional. He was exceptionally friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable throughout the tour. He provided insightful context on the history of the Medina, introduced us to local cuisine, and recommended excellent restaurants. Notably, he offered detailed explanations of architectural styles and their functions, and even shared the cultural reasons behind the city’s many cats. He also took great care in capturing high quality photos to help us remember the visit.
