I highly recommend Anjela's tour! She is so knowledgeable about Mombasa and Swahili culture and history and was so well connected with the vendors and workers at different sites. She is also so patient and indulged me and my mom's shopping stops :) This is a GREAT way to see and learn about Mombasa!
I have done plenty of walking tours in different countries and it is very rare to find such a passionate and knowledgeable guide like Anjela. The tour was a truly immersive experience starting with the Spice market where we not only saw and interacted with the vendors but even tried so many different spices and fruits. Then we’ve walked around the old town of Mombasa and the Fort Jesus where Anjela demonstrated very deep knowledge about the history of the city, the life of the people and shared tons of interesting facts and stories. She has a great personality and sense of humour and made everyone feel comfortable easily. In the end she shared also a lot of tips and where to go and what to further experience in Mombasa. Anjela is an amazing tour guide! We really feel we saw and felt through Mombasa with her, she was so knowledgeble and answered all our questions. The tour was four hours long and took us to lots of different places. Recommended to all!
