I love the passion he had about the tour. He's a good story teller and very nice personality. It was a great combination of the place and he's knowledge. Highly recommend it.
Solid 9 AM tour with Leo. I'm glad we did it. This was my second time to Miyajima and I appreciated it a LOT more given this tour. Instead of walking around not appreciating the relevance of what makes the island special, Leo helped us understand the importance of the sights we saw. He was friendly, communicative and easy to get along with. Would certainly recommend this tour - ESPECIALLY the 9 AM one! So glad we did that one as by the time we ended (12 PM) the place was rammed with other tourists, and it probably wouldn't be as enjoyable in the afternoon with lots more people around.
We were a small group and Leo was able to adapt the tour to suit us all. He showed us some of the local food and drinks which we were really pleased as we would not have known what to try otherwise. The tour is nice a easy walking with steps towards the end of your. However if you are of normal walking abilities you will cope very easily. The main temple and the main shrine are fabulous and have some unexpected features. Our advice is to go later in the day if you can. It's quiter and you can get the sunset over the O toril Gate to add to your pictures. On a different note Loe's recommendation for local food in Hiroshima was spot on. We would not have found the place we ended up eating in. Great guide, great trip.
