Miguel provided a very informative tour of the small and grand places of social emancipation in Barcelona with links to international history. The tour really profited from his extensive research into feminist and working class history and contemporary social movements. I also found it very pleasant to have some nice chats during the tour. If you are looking for a tour outside the trotten paths, are interested to hear about the good, the bad and the ugly of Barcelona and how people tried to improve their lives through a centuries of strive, this is the tour for you. Along the way were several quiet spots that are also very well suited for resting tired feet within a few meters of central spots, like the Placa da Catalunya. A real gem of a guided tour.

I highly recommend this walking tour with François. He is very knowledgeable and deepened my appreciation for all the architecture in this city. While the tour is 2.5 hours, along the way, there are dedicated stops to sit and rest.
