Greetings! I'm Akaki Sulava, a proud local of Kutaisi, my beloved Hometown where I took my first breath in the vibrant 90s. By profession, I am an air traffic controller, but my true passion lies in showcasing the beauty of Kutaisi through my free walking tours since 2018, and organizing captivating Soviet Tours in western Georgia since 2019.
My heart beats with excitement as I have the opportunity to connect with fascinating individuals from all corners of the globe. The love I hold for my city inspired me to embark on this journey, allowing me to share its hidden gems and provide a unique exploration experience to the community of travelers. Witnessing the joy and satisfaction on their faces at the end of each tour fills me with an indescribable sense of fulfillment.
As an avid traveler myself, I wholeheartedly support the concept of free walking tours worldwide and have actively participated in many of them. Being able to contribute to the development of my city is not only a way of expressing gratitude for the enriching experiences I've gained, but also a chance to give back and unveil the wonders of Kutaisi to others.
Join me on a memorable journey through the charming streets of Kutaisi, where history, culture, and adventure intertwine. Together, let's create lasting memories and celebrate the essence of travel.
Es una experiencia para recomendar..
I would totally recommend this tour, not only because of the beautiful decadence of the city on itself, but also because you fall in love with the historical and bonding buildings that involve and have involved Kutaisi. About Akaki, I have no words, he has shown us a side of the city that we had not seen and that we have seen tattooed on each of the faces of those who saw us, the sadness, sadness on the brutalist and decadent buildings but, at the same time the most heart warmed city that has relieve in my heart. Akaki left us with an answer that I won't forget, which was that he was doing this tours to show his love for his native land, to show the beauty of a city where main citizens have lost hope, bjt also to spread love and smiles around the new youth, just so the history and the embers continue to be remembered and do not end up in the oblivion. Thank you a lot Akaki, it really was a changing experience (Kutaisi is plenty of garneshee and beauty).
Totally recomended, the guide was really nice and the tour interesting. He gave us lots of usefull recommendations about what to do in the city and surroundings after the tour and where to eat.
Akaki was a fun and knowledgeable guy. He's professional and conducts the tour with great diligence, and will text you recommendations that he personally favors (as opposed to tour guides who will try to recommend the places that they have deals with). I also had a question and reached out to him and he very kindly sent some links my way. What a great tour and what a great guide! Thank you Akaki.
Very interesting insights which helps to understand the town. Plus: it was funny :) Madloba!
