Hello, my name is Juan, I am from La Coruña, Galicia. I moved to London in the 90s and remained there for 20 years. I enjoyed a variety of job roles during my time there such as working in a theatre, travelling extensively working with a catering company (a subsidiary of formula 1) and manager of a department in a renowned British auction house.
A few years ago I decided to return to Spain with my family and move to the beautiful town of Santa Pola.
I held a position in the tourist Information office at the Santa Pola town hall. Over the last year I have helped tourists from all over the world. I really enjoy this role and was encouraged by many of the tourist’s appreciation of my local knowledge and had been asked a few times why I wasn’t a tour guide! I knew there were very few tour guides serving Santa Pola and I wanted to do something about it.
So after hearing about GuruWalk I decided I wanted to join and become a GuruWalk guide to show of this beautiful town that’s full of history, great food and wonderful people. So here I am and I hope to meet you all very soon.

Juan’s knowledge and enthusiasm for Santa Pola is evident. As English speakers, he was able to speak in our native language very well which was perfect for us. A free walking tour is a fantastic public service and I would recommend this to everyone.
