Hello, travelers! I'm Manuel, a tour guide in Mérida's historic center for the past six years. My mission is for you to leave with a deep appreciation for Mérida's rich history, formerly known as Tihó. Throughout the tour, I'll share recommendations for must-see places in Mérida and Yucatán, such as magical cenotes and archaeological sites steeped in history, so you can further enjoy your visit and discover the best of the region. My goal is for you to leave with an unforgettable experience and a desire to continue exploring everything this city has to offer. Since being diagnosed with OCD, I've found in tourism a way to overcome this enormous challenge in my life. I also enjoy learning languages like Italian, French, and German in my free time, which allows me to enrich my worldview and connect more deeply with different cultures.
Manuel's English was very good, and he spoke clearly and slowly so everyone could hear what he was saying. He gave us a good insight into Mérida's history. I was particularly pleased that his tour took in a band practice by a school group and then a professional band at the School of Music.....I wish we could have stayed longer at this!

it was a good walking tour of Central Merida. Myself and the other tourist asked Manuel to speak in Spanish and he complied at a level we could both understand.
Manual was very knowledgeable and shared great information about Merida and the history. Very easy to talk to and listen to.
