Fascinating insights into the world of Fado. I can’t imagine a better way to learn all about the background and current situation of Lisbon fado. Despite alternating drizzling and pouring rain, we listen to stories about the beginning of Fado while walking to places of significance in that history. Mariana our photo singer died gave us several songs and an indoor stop where we could purchase a traditional zheezheenha (for a euro). We ended the tour at a café where Mariana sings along with two guitars. It was optional if anyone shows to stay on and book for the performance and dinner. I did so and it was A great experience

It is an opportunity to cover a lot of ground and get a lot of information in a very short time. Be prepared for a quick pace and nonstop information.

Thank you for your booking. Coimbra is a city with many hills as you have seen, it is never easy to walk. And I understand that tourists are not prepared for this. And besides, you, and the other tourists, asked us to make the tour in a certain period of time. They were limited. The city also has a lot (more) to see. I guarantee that any normal freetour in Coimbra has the same duration, or longer than the freetour we did. To explain the various stories and traditions of the city, it is often necessary to tell a little of the history of Portugal, so that tourists can understand it better. It is possible to do without all that context, but I think it will be worse for tourists to understand. For one thing, the city is known as the City of Knowledge. Maybe you won't remember, but we made a few stops: Praça do Comércio, Mosteiro de Santa Cruz, Faculdade Matemática (UC), Sé Velha. Casa Aristides Sousa Mendes, Praça Quebra Costas. On the Left Bank, we didn't make any stops anymore, because you needed to catch the train, it was faster. And he made this call to attention, and well, already on that bank.
