Hello! I have been living in Kaunas for 14 years now. I greatly enjoy telling about Kaunas to other visitors. I'm interested in cultural heritage, ethnology, and especially 20th century history.
I found the tour really interesting and informative. Daina was an excellent guide with great subject knowledge and a clear passion for the subject and the city. I learned a lot, not just about the landmarks but some hidden gems and features as well! Super interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Daina was a fantastic guide who truly embodies a love of Kaunas and its history, particularly the interwar period, of which we knew relatively little. We enjoyed her insights into the different styles of architecture around the city & how they linked overall to Lithuania’s very interesting history. She took us off the beaten path & showed us places we would never have seen, such as the wooden houses in the Greenhill neighbourhood on the north side, and the former dormitories for the bankers in the interwar period. She covered many different aspects of social history in Kaunas from the late 19th century to now. Would highly recommend!
Daina was a super interesting guru ! She solved all our questions even some after the tour. We visited some places that we wouldn’t have gone by our selves. Strongly recommend this personalized tour 😊
