Hi, my name is István! I was born and raised in Hungary and I am happy to call Budapest my home for over 10 years now.
I have a huge love for this city and I would like to show you why!
In Budapest everything tells a story.
Being a professional musician and a licensed tour guide combined with a great love for history, I will tell you this story from a totally unique perspective.
I have been to over 40 countries so far myself, I love learning about and experiencing new cultures because I think that’s the best way to broaden our horizon.
That’s why my tours are quite interactive and I highly encourage everyone to participate and ask as many questions as you have. (I might even reward some people from the group! 😉 ) Remember there is no such thing as a dumb question!

Istvan’s walking tour of Budapest was the best I’ve been on of tne 15 or so I nave taken. His breadth of knowledge, history, enthusiasm, the sights and sites and his skill at engagement and involving his group were beyond my expectation. I learned and saw so much that I was awed by Istvan’s presentation and his love of sharing his beautiful and historic Budapest. I’m so grateful I was on his tour.
Istvan is a great guide. We tried some local snacks and dishes and he told us all about the origins and history of the dishes and about Hungarian cuisine in general. After the tour he sent us a big list of recommendations which was very appreciated. I can recommend this tour highly!
Istavan was very polite, the tour was engaging and took us to places I might not have found otherwise. His knowledge was very good such that he answered all the groups questions. He followed up the tour sending us recommendations for activities and the like in the City.
