Hi, my name is István! I was born and raised in Hungary and I am happy to call Budapest my home for over 10 years now.
I have a huge love for this city and I would like to show you why!

Being a professional musician and a licensed tour guide combined with a great love for history, I will tell you this story from a totally unique perspective.
I have been to over 40 countries so far myself, I love learning about and experiencing new cultures because I think that’s the best way to broaden our horizon.
That’s why my tours are quite interactive and I highly encourage everyone to participate and ask as many questions as you have. (I might even reward some people from the group! 😉 ) Remember there is no such thing as a dumb question!

István is an amazing guide! His enthusiasm and lively energy kept the spirit of the group very high and his information sharing and management of every aspect was flawless! So invested in the details and making sure everyone is heard and participating, and making sure everyone is comfortable was just amazing. I recommend him hands down if you're ever visiting Budapest! :)
One of the best tours I've ever done (and I've done many!). Itsván is charming and you can tell that he is enthusiastic about what he does. Above all, we liked how well he knew how to find the balance between more general information (history of Budapest, etc.) and super curious anecdotes about the city that we had no idea about. It is also to be appreciated that he addresses issues that other tours would not address, such as some more contemporary political issues, and above all that he does so in such a transparent, respectful and sincere way. 10/10
Excellent tour like all others booked with GuruWalk. Good knowledge shown of the city and its history. A good light hearted atmosphere created by Istvan. Highly recommend this tour.
István the guide was fantastic! He had a lot of information, was very interesting, funny sometimes and very friendly. Take the tour with him, you won't be disappointed! It's good to mention also that the tour began right on time.
