Hi, my name is István! I was born and raised in Hungary and I am happy to call Budapest my home for over 10 years now.
I have a huge love for this city and I would like to show you why!
In Budapest everything tells a story.
Being a professional musician and a licensed tour guide combined with a great love for history, I will tell you this story from a totally unique perspective.
I have been to over 40 countries so far myself, I love learning about and experiencing new cultures because I think that’s the best way to broaden our horizon.
That’s why my tours are quite interactive and I highly encourage everyone to participate and ask as many questions as you have. (I might even reward some people from the group! 😉 ) Remember there is no such thing as a dumb question!
So if you’re ready to go on a walk, meet fellow travellers, try some local snacks, take amazing pictures and experience the Pearl of the Danube with a true local, I will be happy to see you on my tours!
Istvan is knowledgeable on everything Budapest and makes the tour very entertaining. He ensured the group is interactive and frequently cracks jokes to keep the mood light. He goes into details of the history of Budapest and it’s hidden gems which really helped us in getting to know the city better. He also has fun trivia questions during the tour and gives chocolates to people who answer them. Overall, it was a fun tour and would definitely recommend him for everyone.
Very entertaining tour! very happy we chose it, it was very interesting as well.
Istvàn was an excellent, professional, informative and entertaining tour guide. The tour was an excellent introduction to the city and Hungarian culture/history. Istvàn was excellent at gauging the group and where to elaborate/go more in depth with excellent anecdotes and recommendations, would highly recommend.
The best guided walk I have done. István was very, very knowledgeable about the history, politics and culture of the city and country. He was able to deliver his knowledge in an engaging and entertaining way. I would highly recommend his tours.
