An amazing experience that makes you understand romanian folklore, death rituals and interesting pieces of architecture. Daniel was top notch! He was the guru of dark storytelling! Really makes you get into the picture ;). Keep it going ;)
The tour was amazing! I was not sure what to expect from a cemetery tour in Bucharest, but Daniel made the stories come alive in an incredible way. It was like walking with a friend that is also good at history and storytelling. I would definitely recommend the tour to other friends visiting the city, it's an experience worth having. Bonus points for it being outside the touristy areas, it felt like a deeper dive into real Bucharest 😍
The tour is very informative on various points. There is much detailed information on certain buildings and places that stand as examples for historic happenings. Also, our tourguide shared her own personal experiences and those of her relatives, which stood as reference how life was like under this time. She was open for any questions and you could notice that she brought a lot of experience and knowledge on various fields of interest. The Communist Walking Tour is not a tour on the revolution (1989) itself, although there obviously is much information on the reasons that led to the revolution. However there is a separate tour on that topic too, so if you have the time - visit both!
