I had what ended up being a private tour with Syhorn. We had interesting discussions about Cambodia, religon and life. He is very passionate about his country. I highly recommend this tour.
This was a fascinating walking tour with Syhorn. It was more of an amble interspersed with so much interesting information fed in. We started with the coffee which was delicious, and then headed off. Syhorn took me to the main temple where he explained a lot of the symbology in the temple, and then we walked down the river and over into Wat Po. During this he explained the history of the royal family, Buddhism, about his own family and the impact the Khmer Rouge had on them, which was very moving. Syhorn is clearly so proud of being Cambodian and wants to explain Buddhism to his audience. It is not a tour for someone who wants to race around sights or to meet lots of other people (it turned out I was the only person) or doesn’t want to engage with what this lovely personality has to offer and say.
Syhorn was super informative about Cambodian history, traditions and culture. His explanations are clear and easy to follow. He went above and beyond to create an immersive experience! Thank you for your time Syhorn
