What a wonderful food tour with Wenji! The weather was a bit drizzly but we were treated to exciting sights and aromas along the streets from the restaurants we passed and visited. Wenji had lots of information on the culture and origins of food in the area. We tasted many dishes, drinks and desserts. She has a great personality, good English and really looked after the group well. We learnt a lot and had a lot of laughs! Really fun. Thanks for the soda treat. It is best to come hungry on the tour!
My boyfriend and I can’t recommend this food tour enough - it’s a real gem! Wenqi is an amazing guide: she took us from one spot to another through the streets of Xi’an’s Muslim Quarter, giving us a deeper insight into the city’s culture and daily life. The tour goes through the less touristy streets of the neighborhood, stopping at Wenqi’s personal favorite food spots, where she used to eat with her family as a child. Thanks to this, we were able to enjoy a truly authentic experience (and of course delicious local food). Wenqi is kind, knowledgeable and fun, and thanks to her there was never a dull moment. Simply put: try this tour and you won’t be disappointed!
An amazing food tour, Wenji was extremely lovely and fun! We tried almost all of the food and Wenji was full of information and advise. Highly recommend and worthwhile 🙂
Tried a good selection of dishes. Wenqi was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed our tour not just for the food but also the background of the dishes we ate. Definitely recommend this tour!
Excellent tour and really informative. Guide is wonderfully friendly and offers extra spots to return and get even more local foods, and is fascinating to talk to re: Chinese culture, language & history too.
