I joined Melody's food tour upon arriving in Hanoi and was so glad I did. Firstly, she inquired about our food allergies and foods we did not eat. She carefully explained all the food ingredients. I loved that the tour brought us to locally owned businesses. In two instances we were eating in family homes. This experience set me up for several wonderful days of exploring Vietnamese food in Hanoi. Melody was not only knowledgeable about local cuisine but about the city of Hanoi. I thoroughly enjoyed her tour.
We had a wonderful walking tour in Hanoi with our guide, Melody. Even though it was just the two of us, she went above and beyond to make the experience special and engaging. Melody shared an incredible amount of knowledge, covering even the sad and difficult parts of Vietnam’s history in a thoughtful and easy-to-understand way. Her warmth and enthusiasm made the tour truly memorable—we felt more like we were exploring the city with a friend than on a formal tour. We really enjoyed her company, and if we return to Hanoi, we would absolutely book another tour with her.
Melody is incredibly knowledgeable, well-prepared, and speaks excellent English. I truly appreciated her authentic style and the way she shared her culture with us. We visited six different locations, and every single one was wonderful. Highly recommended!
Great introduction to less accessible Vietnamese food - trying dishes Westerners wouldn’t normally be exposed to - and visiting venues way off the beaten path. But don’t be put off - the food was terrific and the experience unbeatable. Melody was a great guide.
