Free tours a Leida

We were surprised that our tourguide was an American who lived in Leiden voor 2 years. There were things about the history of the Netherlands (not of Leiden) that we (Dutch) had to tell him. We usually choose Guru walk because of the very good local guides. Although Jamie did a good job, we would have prefered a local guide, with much more inside information and not just telling a lesson that he learned.

Guide was super nice and professional. He even recommended me some lunch places. However after double checking I noticed that one of the landmarks of the itinerary was not covered. My recommendation would be to keep an eye on the itinerary.

Aun así, fue muy amable y considerado con el grupo, dándonos tiempo para hacer fotos y disfrutar de cada sitio con calma. Además, nos enseñó rincones muy bonitos que merecieron mucho la pena. El tour terminó un poco seco, pero en conjunto fue una buena forma de conocer la ciudad de manera tranquila.

Jamie did a good job giving an orientation to Leiden and Dutch history generally. Was sensitive to the pace and needs if the group.

Job was an absolutely fantastic guide! From the start, he brought great energy and made the whole experience fun and engaging. He even surprised us with drinks and chocolate, which was such a thoughtful touch. He is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting stories that really brought Leiden to life. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does, and it made a huge difference in how much we enjoyed the tour. We had an amazing time learning about the city and would highly recommend Job to anyone visiting Leiden!

I booked a walking tour in Leiden and my guide was Job, the tour itself was fantastic! It was super informative, relaxed, and full of fun facts about the city. Job was really a great guide and made the most of our day in Leiden. For more that 2,5 hours he brought us in very nice places, told interesting stories and answered all our questions with enthusiasm and humor. He even offered us local treats and drinks! We have taken several Guru Walks so far, he was definitely the best! Highly recommended!

I recently went on a walking tour of Leiden. Our guide, Job, was exceptional! He was personable, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the city. What really stood out was how he went out of his way to tailor the tour to our interests and make sure everyone felt engaged. We were part of Jobs fifth tour trough the beautiful city of Leiden. We really enjoyed it and he brought an excitement and love for the city, which made the whole experience special! We liked the stops he chose, but at times, we we were missing some depth or detail in the explanations or answers. But knowing it was only his fifth tour ever, he’s off to a fantastic start! We’d definitely come back to Job as a guide in the future, just how he personally led the tour made it memorable and enjoyable for us. Thanks again!

Job was a superb person to talk this walk with. He works full time and does these tours on weekends. So very different from a usual guide. He took us to a lot of places and his little anecdotes made us appreciate Delft better. He went out of his way and even dropped us to the Central station. We enjoyed his tour very much and recommend him to all visitors to this wonderful little city.
