Don't look elsewhere. A true and authentic food tool of both the Asian and Latin side of Jackson heights. Really, a must in all nyc itineraries. And Jasmin is knowledgeable on all aspects.

Steve was my guide for the Jackson Heights tour, and I had no idea what to expect. I absolutely loved discovering the blend of cultures in the neighborhood and hearing the insights he shared along the way. Meeting locals and getting a glimpse into his reality added a truly special dimension to my discovery of the many faces of the city!

Steve was very educated and informed about the tour. He made it fun for us and sprinkled it with a lot of interesting facts that we did not know about. He was extremely professional.

Danke Steve

Steve is a great guide, he’s local to the area and it’s clear he has a lot of knowledge of the best spots in the neighbourhood. I found it to be one of the best tour’s I’ve been on in New York. I highly recommend this tour to anyone in New York, who’s looking to explore areas outside of manhattan

Steve was an amazing guide throughout the entire tour experience. I learned so much about Queens in general and Jackson Heights in particular. It was a slow day so the tour turned into a "pick your own adventure" kind of thing. As a foodie, I enjoyed all of the delicious bites along the way. And as a queer person, I enjoyed learning about the LGBTQ history of the neighborhood. Steve is passionate about his neighborhood and helped facilitate a delightful afternoon in NYC!

Steve knows Queens as the backside of his pocket. And he will point out all the fusion, diversity and historian facts of the place. Loved it. It's an amazing chance to see the real Queens, Jackson Heights. I recomend the evening tour, to really see the liveliness of the burrow.

Jasmin was super nice and offered to do the tour even as I was the only guest. She showed up many delicious places, was flexible with my preferences and gave me recommendations for a decade. Highly recommended, if you can get a bigger group that can help you finish all the food, even better!

Really enjoyed this tour with Steve and the chance to explore a bit of Queens with a local. Some authentic and delicious food stops along the way (come hungry and with some cash!) and lots of interesting local insights. Recommend 👍

It was a small group and we had a chance to chat with Steve, who was nice and friendly. I learned a lot about Queens and had a great late lunch/ early dinner, composed of numerous treats from all around the globe. I would recommend this tour.

Eine tolle Tour durch Jackson Heights! Viel über die Nachbarschaft, die vielen Nationen, tolle Restaurants und Shops erfahren.

A big shout out to Jasmine for running the tour even though we were the only people signed up. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the various food cultures on the tour and picked out great places to try different foods. The tour is a great way to start to discover another side to New York - a quick and easy trip from mid town Manhattan to a different world. By the end of the tour we felt confident to continue exploring by ourselves. This isn’t a history tour- it is very focussed on food and culture as you would expect from the title. And you definitely need to arrive hungry!

This small-group tour is a fantastic way to experience a very different part of New York that very few tourists get to see. Steve is a wonderfully attentive and entertaining guide that has lived for a long time in the community and seems to be known and liked by everybody. We started in the Mexican part of town, proceeding through the Colombian and then South Asian districts. Steve's food recommendations were superb. A truly unique experience, would highly recommend!!

Steve was absolutely brilliant. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect but wanted to experience NY beyond Manhattan and this tour completely delivered. Steve is a fountain of knowledge and took me through the history of the island, the 5 boroughs and the expansion of the subway which ultimately lead to the creation of areas like Jackson heights. It was a fascinating story which touched on everything from the abolishment of slavery, segregation and white flight, to the original Dutch families who monopolised ferry routes and railroads, then architectural styles and home ownership structures, immigration, food, music (and karaoke!), before some of the more recent issues facing queens. We tried some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten - especially the aquachilles at Mariscos el Submarino (a sort of Mexican ceviche)! Beyond this Steve is just a great guy and I very much enjoyed hanging out in his local haunts in Queens and learning about his life. Thanks Steve!!
