Thyl is very knowledgeable about Silves history. I would recommend taking the tour to learn the basics, see the main sights and walk through neighborhood streets you may not visit on your own.

Very pleasant guide. We learned a lot and we're glad that we did the tour rather than venturing out on our own.

Thyl is so very knowledgeable of Silves and the history of the area. His presentation was interesting and fun. I took many pictures throughout the experience. We followed his recommendation and had a lovely meal at Sergredo dos Mouros. Excellent Portuguese tapas platter. Superb service from personable staff/owners. Thank you.

A great guide we learnt lots about Silves that we would not have done had we not done the walk, from secrets to legends to history all rolled into one. The walking tour is a must do! Meet place was easy to find with free parking. Great ending spot for individuals to choose where to further explore. Appreciated recommendations for local tips. Liked that he often stopped to talk in the shade. Shared personal stories to enhance interest. Seemed well researched- politics, economics, history. Thank you from Canada

had the absolute pleasure of joining Thyl’s free walking tour of Silves, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. Thyl is incredibly knowledgeable and made a subject I was a complete novice in feel accessible and alive. His storytelling wove together facts and personal anecdotes that made me appreciate Silves and Portugal as a whole all the more. He was also kind enough to share thoughtful recommendations from scenic drives to a where we could find a good vegetarian meal. Highly, highly recommended

Had a lovely tour with Thyl today, on a more personal way than expected, which was great, as I felt I could ask lots of questions, which is what I typically wouldn't do if in a larger group. Thyl was knowledgeable about the tour, and it was lovely to see aspects of Silves that I haven't seen or noticed before :) Thank you Thyl!

Thyl was punctual, knowledgeable, outgoing, pleasant. He provided valuable information about the area as well as the history of the area. The walk itself was not difficult with many stops along the way. We were provided with the opportunity to ask questions along the way. We would definitely recommend this walking tour with Thyl as your guide.
