Thyl is very knowledgeable about Silves history. I would recommend taking the tour to learn the basics, see the main sights and walk through neighborhood streets you may not visit on your own.

Thyl is so very knowledgeable of Silves and the history of the area. His presentation was interesting and fun. I took many pictures throughout the experience. had the absolute pleasure of joining Thyl’s free walking tour of Silves, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. Thyl is incredibly knowledgeable and made a subject I was a complete novice in feel accessible and alive. His storytelling wove together facts and personal anecdotes that made me appreciate Silves and Portugal as a whole all the more. He was also kind enough to share thoughtful recommendations from scenic drives to a where we could find a good vegetarian meal. Highly, highly recommended

Had a lovely tour with Thyl today, on a more personal way than expected, which was great, as I felt I could ask lots of questions, which is what I typically wouldn't do if in a larger group. Thyl was knowledgeable about the tour, and it was lovely to see aspects of Silves that I haven't seen or noticed before :) Thank you Thyl!
