Thyl is very knowledgeable about Silves history. I would recommend taking the tour to learn the basics, see the main sights and walk through neighborhood streets you may not visit on your own.

The Guru walking tour in Silves was a big surprise. Silves is quite small, but the guide knew many historical facts and fun other comments worthwihle mentioning. Big recommendation for everybody visiting Silves!
