Free tours a Hiroshima

This was a walk around the site where the bomb was dropped. The Peace Garden is mostly self explanatory but with a guided tour you can appreciate it with explanations.

Umar was a terrific guide and the tour gives an excellent overview of Hiroshima during and after the war. I suppose one could do this tour without a guide but having a friendly informative guide makes life so much easier

Free walking tour del Parco della Pace e del Patrimonio di Hiroshima

Shiraz was an informative guide who presented a balanced and factual discussion of the events surrounding the bombing of Hiroshima. I also appreciated his candor in sharing his experience living as a student and expat in Japan.

Our tour guide was very good. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about teaching us everything we came to learn about. We left more informed and educated about the Hiroshima bombing. He made us all an origami crane to keep which was very thoughtful. It was obvious that he really enjoys giving these tours.

Cva is an amazing guide! He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Japanese history and culture. He explains everything clearly, makes sure everyone feels comfortable, and teaches you how to respectfully appreciate local traditions. Both tours with him were wonderful, and I couldn’t recommend him enough! ✨

Cva was the best guide I’ve had in my five months of travelling so far and definitely in Japan. He’s deeply knowledgeable of the history of Japan, the lead up to WW2 in the Pacific and the events of Atom Bomb in Hiroshima. It can be hit and miss with free tours, but Cva is among the best. This is a must do if you’re in Hiroshima.

I did the free tour today with Nandini and we absolutely loved it! She was super attentive, expressive, and clearly knew so much about the city. We asked her so many questions throughout the tour and she was able to answer every single one. You can really tell that she has studied a lot and is very passionate about what she does. She was also incredibly kind and willing to go the extra mile. When the tour officially ended, she even offered to spend more time with us and show us some of the things we had missed, especially since we were really interested in learning more about the history of the city. We had such a great time and really enjoyed the tour. She also gave us lots of interesting recommendations and information about the local food, so we felt like nothing was missing. I would absolutely recommend Nandini! She made the experience fun, interesting, and really enjoyable.

We had an excellent tour with Cva. His knowledge and passion for this very important site and the historical context of why the bombing happened was very much appreciated. Cva engaged with all the group throughout the Hiroshima Peace Park tour and we visited a number of less well known sites too I would recommend booking this tour.
