This was one of the best tours I’ve done in any country (about 20 so far)! Shiheng was professional, friendly, patient, understanding, knowledgeable, and funny! It was a small group of 5, plus our guide, which was the perfect size. I’d like to emphasize that this is indeed a hike, despite it being paved and stairs! It’s mostly uphill for a couple of hours and multiple long flights of stairs (some steep). I recently had a medical procedure so that slowed me down quite a bit, but our guide and the group were patient and understanding. It rained on and off throughout our hike. We were able to explore temples (Taoist), learn about the flora and fauna, culture, drink local oolong tea and try spring onion pancake with egg. Would highly recommend this tour for those in great shape and haven’t recently had any procedures! Thanks so much!

Bridget did a great job of meeting people as they arrived, introducing herself, ensuring they had water and umbrellas or rain jackets, etc. She was enthusiastic and professional. One place for improvement is where we stopped for explanations and other things. Not once was there an opportunity to sit on a bench, stair steps, or even the ground. It was clear people were quite tired and wandered off a bit just to find a place to sit or be out of the rain. I understand there aren’t places with seats for everyone, but many times if she adjusted slightly (eg a few meters), some of us could sit. Also, 20+ people seems too large of a group for this tour down small alleys or even in the temple. Should be kept to about 10 people. Still it was good info! Just don’t recommend doing if you’re at all tired.

The tour was great. Shih-Heng kept a good pace, explaining about nature, history, culture, religion. He also was active before and after to give tips and recommendations about Taipei. I highly recommend this tour, but be aware of the steps!

Bessy did a fantastic job as our tour guide on an incredibly hot, sunny day! We were all roasting so she found places in the shade. We even got a quick break inside AC to use the toilet and refill our water bottles. Definitely recommend this tour to learn more about Taiwan’s history! Thank you!

This was easily one of the best walking tours I’ve ever taken. Leo was exceptionally clear, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He provided a fascinating and well-rounded overview of the history, with just the right balance of political insight and storytelling. Absolutely outstanding!

The tour was headed by two guides who worked in tandem. This is unusual but worked out very well. The itinerary, content, presentation etc were all very good. I recommend. RB

I had such a great experience on this walking tour — Bridget was an incredible guide! Her mic unfortunately broke down partway through the tour, but she handled it like a pro by projecting her voice and keeping the group engaged the whole time. She was always mindful of the heat, looking for shady spots for us to pause, which I really appreciated. The tour was the perfect length and a fantastic way to start my day in Taipei. Bridget shared so many interesting stories and local insights — her love for the city really came through. Highly recommend this tour if you want to dive into the culture and history of Taipei.
