Our guide was outstanding, she couched all commentary with facts, humour and sensitivity. Questions were asked and answered very well! I would recommend this trip and don’t be stingy with the tip.

Alex’s GuruWalk was an excellent use of a morning in Toronto. Over the walk, Alex spoke to Toronto’s colonial history, the counterculture of the 90s, the language of graffiti artists, helped us distinguish between tags vs masterpieces and the different styles of graffiti art. It also touched on municipal politics and the events that led to the rise of Graffiti Alley. At its heart, graffiti is a medium that enables human connection and a part of the emotional infrastructure of public spaces. While we have lived in Toronto for about 10 years, the walk with Alex still allowed us to relook at downtown Toronto with new eyes.

I have walked by these art pieces for years (I live in the GTA) and had no idea of their significance. Everyone should take this tour whether you are a visitor or a resident. Thanks Shaun!

Nascosto in Bella Vista: Tour a Piedi dell'Arte Pubblica di Toronto

This was one of the best ways to take in the city. The commitment to public art in this city is unreal and Shaun is such a wonderful, knowledgeable guide.

This tour was absolutely amazing and the best one we have been on for a while. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and delivers the tour in an excellent fashion. If you are considering taking a tour in Toronto and can only take one, this is the one you should take. At the end, we finished in Saint Lawrence Market and he suggested the best places to eat there.

Dave's knowledge is impeccable and we had a fantastic time.

La Ribellione Perduta - Una passeggiata attraverso la Città Vecchia di Toronto e una passeggiata attraverso il Mercato di St Lawrence.

Interesting tour - but it's more about Canada in general than Toronto. The stops are quiet long (especially the first stop was about 45min), after nearly 1,5hr we've just walked 50 meters.. so you do not really get to see a lot of Toronto.

Dave was a fabulous guide. Being local and an ex teacher made him bring the tour to life. His knowledge of the area and history was exceptional.

Wanted to tour Old Toronto knowing some of the history of the city already. Dave was excellent and knew the history with great detail. We exchanged information I knew about other buildings in the area occupied after The Rebellion. Was a great free tour and the ins and outs of St Lawrence Market was a bonus!!!!

La experiencia fue excelente. El tour duró las 3 horas prometidas y un poco más. El guía Felipe es un profesional, muy didáctico y preocupado para que todos escuchen y participen al mismo tiempo. Es muy recomendable.
