Il tour rappresenta un approccio completo per la società egiziana attraverso la conoscenza storica per le persone che amano leggere e le idee, non solo belle immagini per visite turistiche.
Durante il nostro tour vedremo i punti di riferimento del vecchio Cairo islamico e qui c'è un breve itinerario a partire dalla Moschea di Al Azhar come una splendida congregazione considerata la più antica università islamica per studi religiosi che riceve studenti internazionali ogni anno. Costruita da Jawhar Al Siqilli nel 972 al tempo del Sultano Al Moez dopo che Il Cairo divenne la capitale del Califfato Fatimide, il suo nome deriva da Al Zahraa che significa la splendente, titolo per Fatimah la figlia del Profeta Maometto.
Poi vedremo la Moschea di Al Hussein e il Mausoleo dell'imam Hussein ibn Ali e Fatima figlia del Profeta Maometto costruito nel 1154. Alcuni musulmani sciiti credono che la testa santa di Husayn sia sepolta lì.
Inoltre, passeremo per il Bazaar di Khan El Khalili costruito nel 1382 da Jaharkas Al Khalili al tempo del Sultano Barquq dopo che demolì il Mausoleo Fatimide. L'edificio è composto da negozi su più piani con caravanserragli per mercanti intorno al peristilio interno, c'è un cortile per immagazzinare merci e il piano superiore come alloggi.
Poi passando per la via Al Moez per scoprire il Complesso di Qalawun costruito dal Sultano Al Mansur Qalawun nel 1284 che include Bimaristan, Madrasa e Mausoleo, è un importante monumento dell'architettura islamica mamelucca.
