Johanna was extremely informative and told us a lot of very funny stories. We had a 2.5 hour tour and told us a lot of history. I would recommend it.

Johanna took us to parts of Kilkenny that we hadn’t seen and explained all sorts of quirky little things that we would have walked past. We had been on the castle tour the day before and her commentary brought this tiny bit of knowledge to life for us. She knew so much social history and had the right mix of fact and humour. She gave us some very good tips on places to visit that are tucked away. We bought our lunch in the supermarket deli and sat on the park bench listening to street music as suggested. Next to those who paid 4 times the price for lesser quality food. Great tip about where to find the public toilet upstairs in supermarket (an interesting exhibition was there also). Lovely morning.

Great storyteller, gave great flavour to the historical context. Really appreciated the information about modern life in Ireland. Loved sharing in her excitement for the coming weekend's national women hurling competition. Got a real feeling of the uniqueness of this wonderful country. Although she may have just started giving tours on Guruwalk platform (with only 1 previous review), she has been guiding for many years, she knows her stuff and how to give information in an interesting and captivating manner.
