Mini Group Shenzhen Tech Tour: Drone Delivery & Driverless Taxi Experience

We had a wonderful time on Lan’s tour in Shenzhen! Lan was incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions exceptionally well and gave us a genuine insight into life in Shenzhen. With only four people in the group, the tour felt less like a typical guided tour and more like visiting a friend who had moved abroad and was showing us around their new home. It was a relaxed, personal, and authentic experience that made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend Lan’s tour to anyone who wants to discover Shenzhen beyond the usual tourist perspective!

We had a fantastic tour of Shenzhen with Robert and would highly recommend it! We started at the Civic Center in Futian, where Robert gave us a very interesting introduction to the history of Shenzhen and explained how the city developed into the incredible metropolis it is today. We then visited Lianhuashan Park, where we enjoyed the beautiful views from the top of the park. During the tour, we also had some really fun “Shenzhen experiences”: we ordered ice cream that was delivered by drone and had coffee prepared by a robot! These little experiences made the tour even more memorable and really showed us the technological side of the city. We finished the tour in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen’s famous electronics and technology district, which was the perfect place to end the day. Robert was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and a great guide. He speaks excellent English and explains everything very clearly. As an English teacher, his students are very lucky to have such a great teacher! What we particularly appreciated was how knowledgeable he is not only about Shenzhen, but also about China in general. Throughout the tour, we asked him many questions about Chinese culture, history, society and everyday life, and he was always happy to answer and explain things in detail. It was a great way to discover Shenzhen, combining history, beautiful views, technology and local insights. Thank you, Robert, for such an enjoyable and interesting day! Highly recommended!

Michelle is a bit low key, but very very knowledgeable about Shenzhen and goes out of her way to help you out. The autonomous taxi ride and the food delivery by drone were absolute highlights of the day. On top of this, she is very curious about other cultures and people.

It was amazing. We went to the robot shops, saw demonstrations, saw drone delivery, rode driveless car, saw multiple landmarks including tallest building, and so much more. We did take the metro many times which i was very happy with as this way we got to see so much more. Highly recommend this tour. (Pls remember when tipping to take into account the taxi ride and all the metro trips)

Lan was a kind and wonderful tour guide! Our small group tour was like a private, immersive experience. We visited so many cool and innovative tech spots, and she was patient as we explored and tried out all the different gadgets. She even took us around in a Pony car and helped us translate find everything we wanted to buy. It was a pleasure getting to know Lan, and I highly recommend her tour!

I only had one day to know Shenzhen and this tour was just perfect. The guide was very specific and didactic in the historic part, which I enjoyed the most. Later, we rode the subway and went to the talent park, where the guide ordered a drink via drone for us. It was a blast and I recommend it!
