Hi wir sind Manuel und Yasmin aus Deutschland und haben an der free Walkingtour mit Michelle teilgenommen. Die Tour war super kurzweilig und gut organisiert. Der Austausch mit Michelle war qualitativ sehr gut und sehr informativ. Ihr englisch ist sehr gut, sodass einem wertvollem Informationsaustausch nichts im Wege steht. Was koennte aus unserer Sicht noch besser sein: - Noch einen Tick besser organisiert (Transfer/ Transport wurden von manchen Teilnehmern uebernommen). Wir haetten gerne noch die Techtour mit Michelle gemacht, welche von ihr ebenfalls angeboten wird.

Did the Discover Shenzhen in 3 Hours tour with Jen and it was one of the most insightful ways to understand the city in a short time. Jen brings a very personal touch to the experience. Being born and raised in Shenzhen, she shares stories and perspectives you simply wouldn’t get otherwise. The tour feels relaxed and well-paced, covering different sides of the city without feeling rushed. Walking through areas like Luohu District and Futian District really highlights the contrast between traditional and modern Shenzhen, and Jen explains this transition in a very engaging and easy-to-follow way. One of the coolest parts was experiencing the driverless bus, which added a unique, futuristic element to the tour and made it even more memorable. Overall, Jen made the tour feel authentic, informative, and enjoyable throughout. It’s a great option if you want a meaningful introduction to Shenzhen beyond just the usual sightseeing. Did the Shenzhen Tech Trip covering Shenzhen Talent Park, Gangxia North Station, and Huaqiangbei Electronics Market and it turned out to be one of the most unique experiences in Shenzhen. What really made the tour stand out was our guide Lan. She was extremely well-organized, clear with instructions, and made sure everything ran smoothly from one stop to the next. More than that, she explained the concepts behind what we were seeing in a very simple and engaging way, which made the experience much more meaningful. At Shenzhen Talent Park, the drone delivery experience was honestly fascinating — ordering a drink and watching it arrive from the sky feels like stepping into the future. Lan guided us through the process seamlessly and made sure everyone could experience it. The self-driving taxi element was also very interesting to see up close. Gangxia North Station was another highlight, and Lan pointed out details that you would otherwise miss. It really does feel like a futuristic space. Huaqiangbei was intense but exciting, and having Lan there helped navigate the chaos. She gave useful tips on where to go, what to look for, and how the market actually works. One of the greatest experiences of our entire trip to China. Lan is incredibly knowledgeable, and the tour was extremely well-organized and fully adapted to our preferences. Everything went perfectly! We couldn't have asked for more. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Insightful and exciting tour; Lan was generous with her knowledge of the history of the city and buildings. We walked around the park to understand the history of the buildings and the high tech infrastructure with drone delivery, autonomous ride and robotic coffee. We also visited many other landmarks like the eye of shenzhen and the electronics town. Very exciting tour and well recommended!

Had an enjoyable time visiting spots in Shenzhen with Michelle! She took the time to take us to key spots which aren't that obvious to travellers. We also got to experience a drone delivery which was fun and briefly explored Lianhuashan Park which was beautiful. Highlight was exploring the daily markets to see various goods and produce!

Lan was a great guide for us, super pre tour communication, very knowledgeable, took us on a very nice route and even when our payment did not work for a drink she assisted us. I would definitely recommend Lan for future visitors to experience wonderful Shenzhen.

I had the pleasure of taking Lan’s tour in early April 2026. Before my trip, I had been researching tech-focused tours in Shenzhen, which proved surprisingly difficult as most required a minimum number of participants and I was travelling solo. I was excited to come across Lan’s tour on GuruWalk and signed up immediately. The experience was a highlight of my time in Shenzhen. Some highlights included riding in a driverless taxi, seeing drone delivery in action, walking through Shenzhen Talent Park and learning about everyday life in one of China. It was a great mix of innovation, urban exploration and local context. Lan is a wonderful guide. She is thoughtful, professional and engaging, with a great sense of humour. She is also very organized and communicates clearly in English, which made everything easy to follow. Since I was the only participant that day, the experience felt personalized and relaxed, like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local friend, while still being well-structured and professional throughout. What stood out most was her ability to go beyond the tour itself. With limited time in Shenzhen, I would not have been able to see or understand nearly as much on my own. She also helped me find and book a fantastic hot pot restaurant and secure a ticket to a robot show, which really enhanced my visit. I especially appreciated her local perspective and depth of knowledge about Shenzhen’s development and daily life. This tour strikes a great balance between showcasing cutting-edge technology and providing meaningful cultural context. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Shenzhen, especially solo travellers. It is a unique and well-curated experience, and Lan is a guide who clearly cares about what she does.

Die Tour war sehr gut! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, konnten viele Fragen stellen und haben viel über die Stadt und China an sich erfahren. Wir haben viele free walking Touren schon gemacht und fanden diese sehr gut. Wir haben sogar eine Drohnenlieferung bestellt und Shenzen von seiner grünen Seite gesehen. Vielen Dank dafür!

Para nosotros este tour con Jen fue una gran elección, fue un tour privado porque estuvimos mi marido, mi hijo y yo solos, y ella fue una guía estupenda, hicimos el tour que había preparado y lo adaptó a nuestras necesidades. Fue muy atenta y simpática y nos fuimos encantados.
