I only had one day to know Shenzhen and this tour was just perfect. The guide was very specific and didactic in the historic part, which I enjoyed the most. Later, we rode the subway and went to the talent park, where the guide ordered a drink via drone for us. It was a blast and I recommend it!

We had a wonderful and eventful walk with Robert. - First, we visited the museum to learn more about Shenzhen’s history. - Then we went up to the observation deck on a hill, which offered an incredible panoramic view of the city skyline. - Robert helped me order food delivered by drone; it’s a really unusual experience. For those visiting Shenzhen or China for the first time, this is a wonderful experience: not just seeing the city, but also being able to communicate with locals.

If I had to rate this tour, I would give it a 10/10 without hesitation. Robert was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. He took my mom and me to places we both really enjoyed, and as an 11-year-old, I appreciated that he made an effort to include stops he thought I would find interesting. We visited the Shenzhen Civic Center, where we learned that its bird-like design symbolizes Shenzhen’s future economic growth. At the Shenzhen Museum, we discovered that Shenzhen was once part of Bao’an County, which included Hong Kong, and learned about the Opium War and Hong Kong’s history under British rule. Robert also showed us one of Shenzhen’s largest bookstores, the city’s famous metro station with both coach and business-class cars, and finally the AI-themed park, which was my favorite stop of the tour. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone interested in history, technology, or seeing Shenzhen through the eyes of a knowledgeable local.

Robert a été un très bon guide durant notre court séjour à Shenzhen. Nous avons apprécié les différentes histoires qui ont permis d'agrémenter notre voyage et nous ont permis d'apprendre davantage de cette ville mais aussi sur la culture chinoise. Nous recommandons chaudement un tour avec ce guide. Il est à noter que Robert parle Français, et qu'il aimerait apprendre davantage. Compatriotes, n'hésitez pas à vous joindre à lui, il saura trouver les mots dans la langue de Molière. Lan is an excellent tour guide and is a real local with excellent English. Her tours are always small group so she spends a lot of time catering to your needs. Her tour gives a good overview of the techno elements of Shenzhen (robot barista, drone delivery, robot taxi, gadget centre) which can sometimes be difficult to discover if you don’t have someone point it out. It can also be difficult to engage with the system eg ordering things, if you don’t have a local. She also explained some of the history behind Shenzhen. Would highly recommend if you’re here for a short time and want to experience what the tech side of Shenzhen has to offer.
