About the tour

Walk through the port of Rio de Janeiro, completely renovated on the occasion of the 2016 Olympic Games, and to the African vestiges of the city. Tour of the new symbols of Rio, such as the Museum of Tomorrow, designed by Santiago Calatrava, the Museum of Art of Rio (MAR) or the great mural 'Etnias', by urban artist Kobra. The tour is completed with a visit to the saddest past of the city: the ruins of the old pier where the slaves landed (Cais do Valongo) are the gateway to 'Little Africa', a neighborhood historically inhabited by descendants of slaves. The musical square of the Pedra do Sal, a place full of history where, according to legend, the samba was born, will be the end point of a journey that wanders between the past and the future of the Wonderful City.

What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!
