What a fantastic experience. Donat was so full of information about the history of Uzbekistan and the city of Tashkent. We also got to taste foods in the bazaar, and get involved in the bread making. What a treat to get to look behind the doors into someone’s courtyard in the old city. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an absolutely fantastic tour with a little bit of everything. There's about 4-5 food tastings, so dont have too big a breakfast before you come. It gave a great introduction to the city and the region as a whole. Donat had a fantastic depth of knowledge and is an expert presenter as well. I really can't rate it highly enough and I highly recommend it!

This is an exceptional walking tour!  Bakhtiyor is very knowledgable, but not at all pretentious. Very friendly and relaxed, but professional and dedicated to the clients.  The tour is comprehensive,  very informative  with lots of insight into historical, traditional, religious and artistic topics. But also very fun, with hands-on experiences on making bread and tasting fruit and meeting local vendors. Honest and warmest recommendations!

Lovely tour guide - easy to find, very knowledgeable & spoke great English. He showed us the metro system which was great & used his card for entry. He had many facts to share which pushed the time out & we were on a tight timeframe so unfortunately could not stay for the full duration.

Donat was probably the best guide I’ve had so far. He is super knowledgeable with both the history and culture of Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Central Asia in general. I got to hear local stories and ask all my questions about Uzbek life. Was like having a friend show you around town. I would highly recommend him.

Donat was great. His English fantastic and so knowledgable. We learnt is much from this very interesting tour. Donat showed us so many wonderful things and we were able to try many foods and even make some bread, however Donat did not pressure us at any point to buy any produce or spend money - no expectations just wanted to show us his country. Very helpful and engaging. Great value and three hours well spent.

It was one of our best tours withing 3 weeks of our 13 countries! Bakhtiyor is very opened, smiling, joking, telling a lot of funny stories, do not rusch, and his english was really pleasant.

Donat was a really excellent guide. We did the morning old city tour with him and also the night-time Soviet tour, and both were paced well, with excellent and unique information. We've done a variety of walking tours through Uzbekistan, including in Khiva, Bhukara, Samarkand, and Tashkent, and these 2 tours were probably our favorite because of the unique elements involved (such as going through the Subway system and bread-making in the morning tour, and going up to the top floor of Hotel Uzbekistan for a nice city view in the evening tour).

Donat’s tour was excellent! It was fun, engaging, and refreshingly different. We learned a lot about the Tashkent Metro, the history of space exploration, the local bazaar, and many other interesting topics. The tour was entertaining from start to finish, and we never got bored with long historical lectures. Donat has a great way of sharing information while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. I would be happy to join another of Donat’s tours in the future and learn even more beyond this one.

We had a great little tour of some of Tashkent's highlights with Donat. He immediately impressed us with how articulate and fluent he was in English - fluent enough to even insert some subtle humor into his commentary, which we enjoyed. We liked taking the metro and also learning a bit about the history and meaning of some of the artwork in the stations. Seeing some actual residences was also interesting and probably not something you'll get to see on most other tours. We were a little pressed for time as we had to go to the airport right after the tour, so we unfortunately couldn't follow up on the many good suggestions and ideas Donat gave us to explore Tashkent further.
