Historic Center Free Walking Tour of Moscow
Tour description
At 10:00 am we will meet at the Karl Marx Monument (statue) to begin a walking tour through the historic center of Moscow. We will pass through the Revolution Square to get closer to Manezhnaia Square (from the riding school), we will begin admiring the spectacular facade of the Patriotic War Museum of 1812 (Moscow Duma) and State History Museum. The monument to the Marshal of the USSR Georgy Zhukov. The bronze plaque that marks its Kilometer Zero is located in a short passage that connects the Red Square, just in front of the Iberian Chapel, then we will see the cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan. On Nikolskaya Street (better known by Spanish speakers as the street of lights) .. On the Red Square we will find two important monuments: the imposing Kremlin and the Lenin mausoleum. At the foot of the Kremlin are other illustrious figures such as Stalin or astronaut Yuri Gagarin. We will also go to the east side of the square to access the main GUM stores. In the end, world famous for its bulbous domes the Cathedral of San Basilio. We will arrive at Zaryade Park to have a majestic panoramic view of the Historic Center, then we will walk through Alejandro's gardens and end our tour in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior around 13:30.
