In this free walking tour, we briefly speak about the history of Iran (Persia) from 3000 BC to the present. Then we'll discover some spectacular attractions of Tehran from a new point of view. We walk through the grand old bazaar and learn more about Iranian daily life. We explore hidden parts of the bazaar and its secrets. Then we talk about Iranian Marco Polo and the king who liked to be a Marco Polo.
On our way to explore old Tehran, we walk into old Arab and Jewish neighbourhoods and learn more about them.
Finally, not only you learn about the architecture, history, culture & daily life of Iranians, but also we will give you essential information that is necessary for the rest of your journey.
How to reach Golestan Palace: Take the red metro line and get off at Panzdah Khordad metro station and follow the sign to Golestan Palace; then you reach Panzdahe Khordad Square, turn left to Davar street, and you reach Golestan Palace.
I’ve been travelling around Iran since 2013. My favorite places are deserts and historical sites. I'm familiar with roads and their conditions because I have driven more than 100,000 Kms by my own car. After I started to travel I found that I'm eager to change my job and being a professional tour leader and traveler. finally I established my own company "Persian walk"with one of my friends "Mersa". Feya is an incredibly proffesional tour guide, who can apparantly tell a story about anything at any place in Tehran. She is just like a box with never ending stories, which seems to be small from outside, but big from inside. My Iranian friend, who is also from Tehran and lived here for more that a quater of a century, went with me on the tour and although she thought, that she would know everything, she actually wondered, how much she could learn that day. Moreover, besides the historical sites of Tehran, Feya also showed us the secret shops near the bazar area and introduced us to the most famous tea master of the bazar, who's family started their business more than 100 years ago.
Even though I usually take a tour in every city, which I visit for the first time, Feya is one of the best tour guides I have known.

We had an amazing tour with Ehsan! He showed us a lot of hidden places that we would have never found by our selfes and introduced us to a lot of nice people! Also the historical facts were very intresting and he has a very deep knowledge about iranian history and culture! He introduced so many things to us that we feel like we have to stay in Teheran a lot longer! He was also very helpful with somen practical tipps such as using the metro or getting a sim card.
