Hello! We are a family of flamenco artists, I am Ivet, a painter and singer, together with my husband Joel Zamora, an artist of this genre, a dance teacher and a historian, we will help you get to know the city from the perspective of an artist and after unraveling the corners of its historic center, we will take you to our house and cultural center: El Patio Andalú, where you will enjoy a live flamenco show in our magical garden. Here we also have a small outdoor restaurant, with meals made over charcoal, at prices below the rest of the restaurants in Cienfuegos, led by the Guru walkers themselves and hosts of the house. Do not miss discovering this city, in a different way!
You will discover Cienfuegos city through the hands of an artist and historian in bespoke tour. At the end, you will enjoy an intimate live flamenco concert in a small restaurant with prices below the rest of the city.
We will accompany you throughout the tour through the emblematic sites of the historic center of this beautiful seafaring city, the only one in Cuba founded by the French more than 200 years ago. From our meeting point in the oldest building in La Perla del Sur, the El Palatino tavern, located in the José Martí main square, we will retrace the entire historic center, a World Heritage Site and at the end we will take you to Casa El Patio Andalú, cultural center and house of the hosts.
In the small restaurant in the back garden, a live flamenco show will await you led by Ivet and Joel, Gurus and hosts of the house, where you will be able to accompany the night, trying the intoxicating cuisine of El Patio Andalú, cooked on coal with prices below the rest of the restaurants in the city. We will be in the El Palatino tavern, José Martí main square, you will recognize us by our t-shirts with the text Joel Zamora flamenco in Cuba, my husband with his usual cigar and the look of a gypsy from Jerez that does not leave him, see you!
The meeting point will be the oldest building in the city, El Palatino. Then, will go to the exact location where founded Cienfuegos city, called Zero Kilometre and explore with a brief tour around the most emblematic buildings around the square, like Tomás Terry Theatre, Ferrer Palace, the Cathedral, the Triumph Arc, the old Spanish Casino and others.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
