Plovdiv is a city that owns a huge historical and cultural heritage, which dated back to the Thracian times. The city has changed many times through its long existence. A simple walk in the city is feeling like traveling in time. When you step into the Old town, the travel watch stops at the Bulgarian Renaissance. Everything in the Old town recreates the atmosphere of the period. From the colorful houses, which are furnished elegantly and a hundred percent corresponding with the time they are recreating, to the beautiful churches. You can learn a lot about the exact period, about the Bulgarians manners and traditions by spending some hours in the beautiful Old town. Each house has an exposition of objects from the daily lifestyle of the 18th century Bulgarian people. During the walk through the ancient part of Plovdiv, easily can be seen many extremely lovely monuments, of which the most impressive are: the Roman Stadium, the Ancient Theatre, the remains of Thracian settlements etc.
