Hi, I´m Natalia; I studied History of Art but my passion is to travel. I´ve been living in Valladolid almost my whole life so this is my first palce to visit!
Easter Vallisoletana.
Although this year we will not be able to enjoy the processions in the streets of Valladolid yet, we can take a tour of the most important penitential churches in Valladolid and other places of interest these days.
We will start with the Church of Santiago , in the street of the same name, which still conserves the order of knights in charge of giving the Sermon of the Seven Words on horseback through the city, we will continue through the Vera Cruz, Angustias, Santa María de la Antigua, Palacio de Santa Cruz and we will finish in the Cathedral , as a reference church.
We will make special mention of the National Sculpture Museum , a place where the exceptional passages of Holy Week are guarded , with its internationally recognized carvings as the most important religious sculptures, by Gregorio Fernández and his school, Francisco Rincón his teacher, Juan de Juni etc.
We will also look at the exhibitions that we can enjoy in the different municipal rooms to admire religious works of the Passion.
