About the Guru

I'm Sanjin, a 32 year old guy, who decided to share my love for my hometown with its visitors. As a licenced local tour guide and an avid traveler, I've used my experience to organize a tour where I'll show you the most interesting places in the city while telling you the stories that shaped it into what it is today. Let's discover Rijeka together!

About the Tour

We'll meet up at Jadranski trg (Adriatic square) at the designated time (check the dates!) and, during our walk, you'll see some very interesting and unique places within the city centre, as well as hear stories about how Rijeka used to be the largest port in Austro-Hungarian Empire, and how the city has developed through centuries.

This tour includes:

  • Adriatic square (Jadranski trg)
  • Venetian house
  • Korzo (the main square with cafés and clock tower)
  • Old Town and ancient Roman post of Tarsatica
  • St Vitus cathedral
  • Leaning tower of Rijeka
  • Old city port's wharf
  • National theatre
  • Central Market (morning tour only, adds 10 minutes) and Turkish house
  • City port

- We'll end our walking tour at a wharf in the port, where many luxurious yachts are anchored nowadays.
- This tour is provided in English only. You're encouraged to tip your guide at the end of the tour.

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: Meeting point: Between two fountains at Jadranski trg (Adriatic Square). I will stay between them, so that you could find me easily. The square is conveniently located in the city center, so it's easy to reach the meeting point by city buses, by foot or by taxi. Intercity bus station "Žabica" is only 150 m (500 ft) away.

Excellent excellent tour and Sanjin went out of his way to show additional sights that we were interested in and added places he thought we’d like to see! One of the best tours I’ve ever had!!
