Free experience in traditional coffee processing.
Am a freelance tourist guide been doing tours for over five years. I studied tourism at the university and so passionate about nature and wildlife, and about using tourism as a tool for conservation and restoration. I volunteer with the Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve as a conservationist ensuring the restoration of indigenous tree species and extending the forest cover. No wonder it's at this place i normally meet with the people i walk around.
On this tour, expect to take a nature walk around the Nkuruba nature reserve for four species of monkeys that call this place home, different species of birds, visit a local farm from where you will meet the local who will take you to visit his coffee plantation afterwards he will take you through the traditional way of processing coffee using very local tools. This process begins with a visit to the coffee plantation, going through traditional processing and cooking preparations until the moment it is placed on the dining room table.
After all this process, we head to another local house to visit the vanilla farmer, who also takes you through the whole process of growing, caring for, and drying the vanilla.

easy walk on a good village path from the meeting point for less than a kilometer to the local coffee planter/farm.
