∎ Welcome! My name is Ignacio, Architect and Official Tour Guide of Amsterdam, my city for 14 years and where I have taken thousands of travelers. ∎ Studies in history, design, botany and art are part of my professional training, which together with my experience teaching classes, creating and conducting tours summarize my curriculum. ∎ I have the privilege of walking prominent artists and personalities linked to the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid when they visit Amsterdam. I also give historical-cultural instruction about the city to the crew of German ships in exchange with The Netherlands. This is part of my work performance that bases my trajectory. ∎ Amsterdam, has always had a fascination, beautiful, unique and incomparable and where in this beautiful job of "guiding", I have the key to open the doors of the city. My HISTORICAL CENTER tour can be considered as a "Very entertaining excursion, the same one I do with family, friends and students, by the way with architecture, history, art, Dutch society, curiosities and surprises" and for my RED LIGHT LIGHT tour, very savory of mundane life from the Middle Ages to today.

Tour description

With the sharp eye of an Architect and guide for years , he allowed me to create a tour with a complete and entertaining vision of Amsterdam in a few hours. The tour is mainly based on: Dutch history, art, commerce, architecture, nature, science and society, from the 13th century to the 21st century.

My tour begins in the heart of Amsterdam going through all the cardinal points. We start with a review of Amsterdam and immediately start touring and tuning in what we see with the descriptive story that I will do.

PLACES WE WILL VISIT AND EXPLAIN:

Courts , place of beheadings and hangings S.XVII.

RED LIGHT LIGHT : I prepare the tourist to visit the Red Light District. with a lot of information to consider during your visit, the same for those who have already been and did not understand what they have seen. An unmissable place because Prostitution and drugs are a reality in the heart of the city. from the Middle Ages to the present day. It is the last point of the tour, on the border with the Red Light District.

• • MISCELLANEOUS
Unique architecture in the world, heritage channels, fossils, panoramic views to enjoy and photograph, all combined with the daily life of the Amsterdammers that will surprise us, bicycles, boats, celebrations, and endless spontaneous and surprising "Dutch" events. of daily life that will appear to us in the dynamics of the tour.
The tour ends at Niuwmarkt. For various reasons it may happen that you have to replace one place with another.

==> IMPORTANT INFORMATION: <==

1- The Municipality charges tourist tax. (Vermakelijk hedenretributie) = €1.50 Amount that is paid before starting the tour and has no relation to the value of the event itself.

2- WAITING MARGIN : it is 5-7 extra minutes for those who are late. The person who does not notify, or does not arrive after the extra minutes, can have their reservation replaced by other tourists.

3 - MINORS : The tour is not suitable for minors, since the Red Light District is part of my story and is for people with educated criteria or minors accompanied by their parents.

SUGGESTIONS
1 - Not contracting or signing up for another activity for at least one hour after the end of the tour to replenish energy and have time to get to the other activity in a relaxed way and without running into schedules

2- Check the weather forecast, wear appropriate clothing for cold or heat, sun protection, and an umbrella or raincoat, if the weather warrants it.

I wait for you, Ignacio.
