Multi Flavors Food Tour in Casablanca

Duration: 1h and 30min

I have been a certified tour guide in Casablanca since 2017 and an Airbnb Superhost. After the Arab Spring ignited in 2011 in several North African countries, Libya was one of the countries affected by that virus called Revolution. For this reason, I was invited to travel to a quiet place where there is no shooting. So I decided to travel to Morocco which was a radical investment in my soul and an injection of love for tourism and adventure for me as it was my first time traveling. While I'm here I admired the country and decided to settle in Morocco to have plenty of time to discover its infinite beauty, then I realized that this charm must be shared with visitors, and that's exactly why I'm here ;) Sharing my expertise of the country and culture with you :)

Tour description

Please confirm your attendance by texting me on Whatsapp, otherwise your booking cannot be considered a prove of presence which might cause being ghosted.

My tours are unique because I keep them 100% cultural dedicated with no shopping stops for the purpose of commissions during our walk.

We will have 4-6 food stops in Casablanca's downtown.

As we meet, we will start off our tour with a freshly squeezed juice at a local spot where Moroccans like stop by and have a fresh juice. There are usually big selection of fruits at those juice shops and you pick any combinations you feel like (Orange, Kiwi, Mango, Avocado, Pineapple and more...).

Now it’s time to try the most famous Moroccan soup “Harira”. It’s a tomato based soup with vegetables. We will have it with its perfect pairing “I’ll keep this a secret for now ;)”.

Then, we walk about 5 minutes long to the main food spot. We will have the most iconic Moroccan food that is rich with the Moroccan spices in Tagine (Vegetables with chicken mean or beef)

After that, we will walk to a Moroccan pastry where we can do some shopping for a small collection of Morocco's most famous pastry to take with us to a cafe.

Last but not least, we head off for Green Moroccan tea with mint.

We will sit at a cafe that is centered around a vibrant spot to pair our pastry with a fresh Mint Tea while watching night life passing by the spot.

Eventually, if we pass by interesting street food we will definitely try some.

Budget Estimation that you will spend:
100 MAD per person (not included on the Free Tour)

SUGGESTED TIPPING:
"The free tours do not have a fixed price, but each participant contributes the amount they consider appropriate at the end of the tour (between €10 and €50 per person, depending on satisfaction with the guide). 💶"

What a fantastic day, eating delicious local cuisine and learning about Casablanca. Highly recommend any of Tarik's tours he is a wealth of knowledge and finding hidden gems a tourist would not find. Plus he is an excellent photographer. I never like any pictures of me but loved his shots. Thanks for a fun day out!

Tarik was a fabulous guide and you could feel his pride about his city. We felt very safe with him and he explained things well. We even stopped to try some food that wasn't on the scheduled tour! He is very personable and knowledgable and we had a great time!

Tarik was a great tour guide with excellent English, and local knowledge of Casablanca. We never would have known about the places that he took us to try the local food, and it was delicious! I thought it was just going to be tasting, but we ended up having a full dinner, with different courses at different local places. We ended up having extra desserts that we brought back to the hotel to enjoy another day. I loved the walk as well, as it took us to places we hadn't seen yet.

Tarik sent me this message circumventing Guruwalk guidelines, essentially setting a price for "Free Tours". Note that he doesn't list this information in tour description, because he will get removed for doing that. Instead he sends a message. I see it as an abuse of Guruwalk platform. --------------------------------------------- This tour costs 30$ per person regardless of the group size. Please keep in mind that this tour is %100 cultural focused and informative with no shopping stops during the tour, unlike other cities where the guides rely on commissions after shopping which allows them to accept any tip you give them. Therefore, my suggested tip for this tour cannot be less than 30$ / person regardless of the group size. Example: 1 walker: 30$ 2 walkers: 60$ We dedicate experience and patience in order to provide you with a safe and pleasant experience in Casablanca, so we have to make it clear before our meeting in order to avoid any inconvenience. If you agree on that and you are still interested please confirm your attendance via Whatsapp to avoid NO SHOWs: +212693942026 Looking forward to meeting you :) Regards, Tarik
