I am Agra born & raised in the narrow alleys of Agra where I learned about the different Cultures of various religions. from my childhood culture & architecture inspired me Most, My city Agra is a fusion of old & Modern cities like very few other cities in north India. Finally, I began to work as a tour guide to share about my City with travelers. This walk is for the people who want to explore Agra like a local. Kinari Bazar is a narrow alley market very famous amongst the Locals & Tourists. You can see the Ladies Fabrics, Imitation Jewellery, Perfumes & Decorative artifacts.
Johri Bazar translates to Jewellers Market.This Market was established in the Period of Sikandar Lodhi. You can see numerous shops in the market selling the Jewelry.
It is Believed this was the market for Merchants from Kashmir who sell their products from Kashmir such as Wool , Pashmina , Carpets , Shawls and other Handicraft artifacts. After the independence this area became popular as the Red Light area in Agra having many of the Brothels once upon a time.
Mankameshwar Temple is an ancient temple at Agra & is Dedicated to Lord Shiva.You will see the shops selling the articles of Prayer in narrow alley.
