Description
Maipú, over 200 years of history.
In this tour, we will tell you the history of the Maipú district, formerly known as Monsalvo, and which is considered the "mother of districts", because from this one, all the districts that now form this region emerged.
We will start from the times when the indigenous people were the only inhabitants, up to the arrival of the first landowners, including Francisco Ramos Mejía, and we will delve into the historic Miraflores treaty, signed in this territory in 1820, between this landowner who represented the indigenous people and the government of the Province of Buenos Aires.
We will also explore the history of the first immigrants and how they forged the emergence of the city of Maipú, also considered a Sanmartinian city.
We will learn about the cultural, historical, and architectural legacy left by the immigrants. In this tour, we will also tell you about stories of key figures in national history.
