Our goal is to make Bosnia and Herzegovina one of the most popular travel destinations on the planet. For us, travel and tourism are a way of life, and we want to pass that to our travelers. The Free Walking Tour was created as a way for us to give back to the community. While it's a chance for you to explore the city, learn about our rich history, chat with locals and have fun at the end of the day, for us it's a method to provide food for those in need. All of this would not be possible without partnership with a local charity that provides more than 1000 meals each day throughout Bosnia, but also without people like you! The tour is donates to charity that operates "Good will restaurants" trought the country. More than 1000 meals are served every day!
While walking through Ottoman, Austrian-Hungarian, and Yugoslav parts of the city you will learn about history, culture, legends and how local people live. We will also open controversial topics like war, religion, and human rights. Observe first-hand how coppersmiths create items out of shiny copper. We'll try our hardest to portray the spirit of Sarajevo as for us locals, Sarajevo is also a way of life.
You are helping others by taking part in our tour! Half of all contributions go to a local charity which we will also show you on tour!

We will wait for you with an umbrella at Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures line. You cannot miss us, as it is a place where Ottoman part of the city stops, and Austro-Hungarian begins.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
