Discover the Barrio de las Letras in the center of Madrid with our historical-cultural tour! From the hand of an artist and resident of the neighborhood, walk through the streets of this space full of stories and anecdotes from the Spanish Golden Age to the present day.

Mixing history, literature and contemporaneity in a pleasant way, we will walk through all the nooks and crannies and memories of the Barrio de las Letras so that you can better understand Madrid culture and the way of life that has been in the making for so many centuries.

Let yourself be surprised by each of the corners that make this area such a magical and special place.

Some of the most emblematic places that we will visit are the famous Plaza de Santa Ana , with the Spanish Theater , a space in which some of the most important plays of the Golden Age were premiered. We will discover streets, alleys and alleys full of charm, memorable legends and stories, until reaching the Plaza de Neptuno area, to return along Calle de las Huertas , where we will learn a lot about important figures in Spanish literature, as well as their experiences as residents of the neighborhood, including but not limited to to Miguel de Cervantes (and the places where he lived and died), Lope de Vega, Góngora and Calderón de la Barca, to name a few.

We will also talk about the cafes, restaurants, shops and emblematic spaces that are still maintained in the neighborhood, as well as the value of preserving these places today along with the modernization that the neighborhood and the most popular streets are currently experiencing. We will not stop looking, of course, at the Callejón del Gato and the concave mirrors that Valle-Inclán immortalized.

In each of the streets, you will discover a multitude of dazzling secrets that are waiting for you in broad daylight. There is much more than what we mentioned, I assure you.
