Grab a pair of binoculars to accompany your journey as we walk through Lincoln Park noting the beautiful and numerous birds we find along the way.

Herons, Swallows, Ducks and Sparrows!
We will walk through North Pond, to experience and discuss the life cycle of Herons and Ducks that visit the pond. As we continue on our walk, we will walk along Southern Fullerton Harbor to discuss Swallows and Gulls. As we loop around the zoo, we will stop to discuss more uncommon visitors such as Ducks and Herons. During zoo operating hours, we will stop in to continue a discussion about endangered Ducks that were one day local residents to Chicago. We will then walk back to the pond to the west side of the pond and complete our bird walk.

Great tour - Would recommend for visitors to the city or long-time locals! Steph gave an excellent and informative bird walking tour through the Lincoln Park/North Pond area. She was extremely knowledgable about different local bird species and their habitat in the area. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for years and had no idea how diverse the local fauna was. Steph’s tour definitely gave me a greater appreciation for the nature right here in the city and sparked a newfound love of birding.
