Chicago Bird Walk in North Pond, Lincoln Park
Hi! My name is Steph and I am a bird lover and enthusiast. As a world traveler, I have had the opportunity to experience birds all over the world. I have spent hundreds of hours bird watching at North Pond in Lincoln Park and have a unique understanding of bird behaviors in and around the area.
Tour description
Learn all about Illinois bird residents that live and feed in North Pond, Chicago!
Grab a pair of binoculars to accompany your journey as we walk through Lincoln Park noting the beautiful and numerous birds we find along the way.
Herons, Swallows, Ducks and Sparrows!
We will walk through North Pond, to experience and discuss the life cycle of Herons and Ducks that visit the pond. As we continue on our walk, we will walk along Southern Fullerton Harbor to discuss Swallows and Gulls. As we loop around the zoo, we will stop to discuss more uncommon visitors such as Ducks and Herons. During zoo operating hours, we will stop in to continue a discussion about endangered Ducks that were one day local residents to Chicago. We will then walk back to the pond to the west side of the pond and complete our bird walk.
Book this bird tour for your upcoming trip to the Windy City, any time of the year, our lovely pond has much wildlife to offer and up to 30 different birds!
