Talad Noi / Street art tour
Hi, my name is Lucas, I am a tour guide since 2010, worked in more than 20 countries. Based in Bangkok - or Manila, Phnom Penh, Montréal, Kathmandu - I follow the current of the guiding ! I am doing those walking tour now, trying to share my knowledge with first time visitors. As I am doing this without salary, tip is well appreciated, Guru guidelines suggest min 10€ or 300 Bath. I can answer all questions and showed you some hidden / out of the beaten path places. If you want to see and do tourist stuff like floating market, my walks are not for you. I like to show you the normal life that is going on here in Bangkok, while I will help you with local transportation and others things to visit. With me you are walking to see things of the daily life, to feel the vibe as the local way. If you just want to know about tourist stuff, its easy by your own. With me its more about to learn/walk as the Bangkonian style.
Tour description
Let's explore the hidden alleys in the heart of a city of 12 millions peoples !
From the old train station to the fascinating Talad Noi, we walk deep into the day to day life of its inhabitants.
The unmissable Wat Traimit (we won’t go inside) is first on our way, before starting the search for the unusual.
After the Chinatown gate, we will scout about some back street garnised with art and decorative enjolivement, to end up at the boat pier Si Phraya through some more hidden street corners.
It's a "street art" tour, not a historical one. We walk through small alleys to look at some littles shrines, to talk about daily life and to feel the Bangkonian vibe. This walk is for photography’s lovers. Talad Noi it’s a lively artist neighborhood visited by local, it’s not a touristy place.
Get your camera ready, cause here, life goes on...
