The Whiteaways Arcade
Meeting Point: We’ll gather between JAJUJE Café and Saigon Bowl Café for a brief introduction to the tour. A perfect spot to start our spice-filled journey!

Lorong Che Em, Georgetown
Once a bustling alley filled with poultry vendors, Che Em Lane (also known as Lorong Ayam or Chicken Alley) was a vital part of George Town’s market life in the late 19th century.

Lebuh Pasar
The Little India, where the lively streets hum with the sounds of Indian music and the air is thick with the aroma of spices. This district, central to the South Indian community, played a major role in the spice trade and cultural fusion in Penang. Learn about the journey of spices from India to George Town, and take part in a hands-on experience exploring Indian textiles (if time permitted). You’ll also receive personal recommendations for some of the best South Indian dishes to try along the way.
