I had a fantastic time on this food tour with Pooi Ling! She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the local food and culture, and I loved learning so much while visiting some of the best spots and trying a huge variety of delicious things. I was a little unlucky as some places were closed that day, but we still got to try so many different indian foods, and it was a great experience overall. Pooi Ling was also super kind and helpful, sharing lots of useful tips and recommendations for other places to eat (a part from indian) and things to do in Penang. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the local food scene and learn more about the culture from someone who really knows her stuff!

Ashline was amazing!! It ended up being a delicious food tour on top of a general walking tour. She would often ask if we wanted to take the long way to the next eating spot so she could show off the history, street art, and religious landmarks in the city. I am so full writing this review 🍝😋

A feast for our taste buds and minds! Ashline is a full-on foodie with an excellent knowledge of local history, being born and raised in George Town. Our group of 4 experienced Michelin rated desserts, street food and local dishes, thankfully interrupted with a gentle stroll around the historic town spotting hidden art. Exceptional value. The guide was lovely and really sweet, and the group was great. I just wish the tour had covered more of Penang rather than focusing mainly on the Indian quarter. As someone already familiar with South Asian food and culture, it wasn’t particularly new for me, though I enjoyed tasting the different foods and walking around. Overall, I’d give it about 6.5/10.

The tour was amaaaaaaazing, we started with the nyonya cakes, to continúe to a skewers stall where we can taste for the first time the 100 year eggs and bloody clams, but if you are not into them you can choose less "brave" options, after that he took us to little india to try several classic and no so classic dishes to end and the chewy jetty.

We had such a fantastic food tour with Timothee! The food was absolutely delicious, and there was so much of it—we definitely left full and happy. Timothee brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the tour, and it was clear that he has a real passion for Malaysian food and culture. This is a must do tour for food lovers. Erina is great tour guide, very knowledgeable about food and the different cultures in Georgetown. She brought us to some great places run by local families and we got to try some tasty food that was totally new to us. I highly recommend.

Did this tour with Ashline and honestly it was one of the highlights of my Penang trip. She really knows George Town inside out — took us to some great food spots I definitely wouldn’t have found on my own, and shared a lot of history and local stories along the way.

Our tour with Ashline was fantastic—very enjoyable and informative. She shared lots of interesting insights about the street art and the temples we passed along the way, which made the experience even more engaging. Every food stop was excellent, and the portion sizes were just right. The only exception was the last stop, where the serving was a bit too much—but only because everyone was already very full by then! Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this tour.

We booked a tour. In total we were with 4 people on the tour. We saw 6 places where we tried multiple things. We got some information about the food. In between stops we walked for a bit and got also some information about the city en buildings. Our tourguide was also really nice and if we had questions we could always ask. We really liked it.

Great tour, highly recommend, you will be so full after tasting so many local delicacies. Garrick takes you all over the place, into places you would never know have Michelin awards! He’s highly informative about ANYTHING Penang. You won’t be disappointed
