JUST CALL ME BRUCE Walking tour.

The Loop tour starts at our historic Chicago Theatre, then south one block to Macy's, but Chicago peeps still call this store Marshall Field's. This store had the first modern aluminum-faced, black-rubber treaded escalators back in 1933! .....lots of store tidbits and suggestions for the tour group and it's on to Daley Plaza and the famous Picasso sculpture!....the heart of our downtown loop has significant architectural history, as Chicago is known as the "birthplace of the modern skyscraper!"..midway though we visit the famous Palmer House hotel, the first Chicago hotel to have electricity, phone service and working elevators! The lobby of the Palmer House is gorgeous, with a muraled ceiling that takes your breath away! Learn great Route 66 history as we travel along Adams St, home to the  Berghoff Restaurant, a true Chicago treasure dating back to the 1890's. Then on to Millennium Park to take in the 110 ton sculpture Cloudgate, but not before first stopping outside The Art Institute,  with our 2 famous Lion sculptures from 1894 prominently in front. We end the walk at The Bean (Cloud gate) in the 24 acre Millennium Park.
Great food/drink tips, rooftop bar choices and Observatory info.
Hear about our Great Chicago Fire and where to see structures that survived that Fire! Rain or shine, this guide knows hidden spots to escape bad weather,  such as our underground Pedway system.
From sporting events to theatre/music venues to best pizza/ hot dogs, Bruce knows Chicago!
